A bohemian retreat by the sea for slow living and gentle creativity

“Like a digital-detox retreat – designed by Oscar Wilde.”

You've found it.

Our little hideaway, where the grind can’t find you.

At The Old Green Parlour, time turns at the pace of a good book and old-world whimsy shapes dreamy days and fire-lit nights.

It’s digital-detoxing, but with a spoonful of charm. An analogue pause for proper rest and reconnection. To be playful, present and go hopelessly slow.

We’re a minute from the sea and Margate’s buzz, so you can wander out a while, then slip back for a nap or another negroni.

Read on for more of the story. Or just book in and let us do the rest.

You've found it.

“What would you do with a weekend with no notifications?”

In the Old Green Parlour

The Drawing Room is the heart of the house. A place to loaf and stare at the fire, to take aperitifs or just getting lost in a book. The best bit, though, is our record player. Bring your vinyl to score your soirée.

People who've been running a little hot lately. That need a pretty place to settle in and slow down.

Less WhatsApp, more proper chats. Let those pipe dreams breathe. Or read in the roll-top bath.

We’re a breezy 90-minute train from London and there’s space for up to four people over two lovely rooms.

And when you do venture out…

We’ve teamed up with our favourite local restaurants and bars (see below), so you’ll be welcomed with a smile and an exclusive discount.
